In our practice our patients can be vaccinated against shingles (upon request). Shingles is a painful rash, that is caused by the same virus as chickenpox. It is most common in older people and people who have impaired immunity. For these groups, vaccination may be useful.
If you want to be vaccinated, you can let us know. We will then send a prescription to your pharmacy, after which you can pick up these vaccins there. It is important to store them in the fridge until the moment of vaccination. For this you can schedule an appointment at our surgery.

It consists of two vaccinations, of which the second needs to be administered two months after the first vaccination. The costs for administering the vaccins are € 16,90 per vaccination. Your pharmacist can inform you about the costs of the vaccins themselves.  
Shingles vaccination is not always covered by insurance.

We can only administer the shingles vacinations to our registered patients.
